Vision, Purpose, and Goals

Bishop T. D. Jakes’ Vision, Purpose, and Goals

I hadn’t done a post with Bishop T.D. Jakes in a while, but two weeks ago, I kept getting the answer, ‘T.D. Jakes’.

What was the question?  God I need help finishing my latest book.  It is s o o o o o late.

I’m glad I listened because, as a writer, I found this tag team lecture and sermon both relevant and inspiring.

I listened to it twice and I realized that the problem was that I had lost focus.  I’d lost focus, not because the book wasn’t interesting but because it was hitting to close to what was happening in real life.  And as a writer, you don’t want your readers to think that you’re just re-hashing the local News.  So, I put the book down – not once, – not twice, but three times.

This lecture/sermon inspire me to:

a.  Put a new tagline (trailer) on both my websites (https://elizabooks.com  and https://elizaebooks.wordpress.com)

elizabooks is well written easy to read contemporary fiction.  No flowery prose.  No stopping your reading experience every five minutes to pick up  a dictionary.   Just well written fiction using everyday words.

b.  to outline and re-write the last 15 chapters of https://24thehuntforrednovember.wordpress.com

Enjoy and be inspired!

When There’s Blood In The Streets

what terrorism does

I was about to write a post on, Selective Hearing, but before I do  that I’d like to share with you a quote I heard a long time ago but didn’t understand the significance under recently.

And that quote paraphrased a quote by 18th Baron Rothschild.  The good old  – or insightful – Baron Rothschild said, “The time to buy is when there’s blood in the streets.”

Baron Rothschild, an 18th century British nobleman and member of the Rothschild banking family, is credited with saying that “The time to buy is when there’s blood in the streets.” He should know. Rothschild made a fortune buying in the panic that followed the Battle of Waterloo against Napoleon.

The paraphrase that caught my attention was, “When there’s blood in the streets, there’s money to be made.”

At the time I heard it, I thought that’s ridiculous.  If there’s blood in the streets, no one will be out in the streets.  The sensible people will be  at home.

Duh!

Behind, door locks, door jams, and high end surveillance equipment.

And, If I owned a glass company, I’d be out there hawking my ass off selling bullet proof glass that can be installed in cars and homes!

Or Kevlar car door siding that clips on and off. (Chicago has a lot of Expressway shootings!)

Or double strength steel fence inter lays that can be installed over your existing wrought iron or steel fencing.

And, if you’ve got a gang member in your household, why not insure him or her for as little as $20.00 a month.  (Insurer cannot claim full amount of policy until 2 years of payments have been made.)

And now, you can arrest more people and put more people in jail and make a fortune selling them stuff like, books, magazines, snacks, drinks, toothache medicine, Kotex, INSAIDS, etc.

“When there’s blood in the streets, there’s money to be made.”  Now I understand.

Watch yourself President Trump.  By putting troops on the ground in Chicago, you might just be messing with someone’s money.  And you don’t mess with Chicago people’s money.  Take that piece of advice from someone’s who’s been publicly stalked and humiliated for more than 25 years but has only made the News once in Chicago.

The only thing Andrew Holmes did was try and stop the violence and he paid dearly for that.

Will Smith Shooting

will-smith-nfl-8a696ca1-fd26-404b-8ee6-171ec639345f

“Revenge is a dish best served cold.”  That quote is from the Star Trek movie, ‘The Wrath Of Khan.’

It took me along time to figure out what that meant.  But for Cardell Hayes, it means the difference between 1st degree murder and 2nd degree murder.

I’m sure the New Orleans Police charged Cardel Hayes with 2nd degree murder because of their outdated methodology (and they’re not the only Police Force who haven’t updated their thinking.).  Afterall, why would Mr. Hayes wait so long to take revenge and why would he take revenge on Cardell Hayes?

Envy and opportunity presented itself.

And I think the press is trying to take a neutral attitude in Will Smith’s death, but take it from someone who has been stalked a long time, Will Smith’s death was an act of revenge.

I was taken aback by the Press’ reporting that Will Smith and  Cardell Hayes were strangers.  Cardell Hayes might have been a stranger to Will Smith, but I’m sure Will Smith was not a stranger to Cardell Hayes.

Will Smith had played with the New Orleans Saints football team from 2004 to 2014.  I’m sure Cardell Hayes knew exactly who Will Smith was.

And minutes before his death, Mr. Smith had tweeted out that he was having a good time in New Orleans.  And he was having a good time with the man who had shot and killed Cardell Hayes’ father.

That stop that Mr. Hayes made in the middle of the street was a dead give away that he was planning on doing something to Mr. Smith.  And when Mr. Smith sped away, (as he was taught to do in such an event — drive to the nearest Police Station) that only aggravated Cardell Hayes the more.

Six shots in the upper torso — the first two in the back — speaks volumes.  And when the wife jumps out of the car and runs over to her husband who had just been shot, you shoot her twice in the leg.

Looks like revenge to me.

Devil’s Advocate – The Bathroom Bill

If permitted, I would like, just this once, to speak for the other side.  You know the side, the ones who are always being told ‘not to say, feel, or thing anything that is not politically correct’, to ‘put up and shut, or ‘be an adult’, or ‘stop letting your petty fears get in the say of progress’.  That side.

I started hearing about the Bathroom Bill a few days ago and was intrigued.  Mostly, because if you’ve read my other blog, mystalkingblog, you know that I’m a victim of stalking and that the people stalking me viciously harangue me every time I go to use the bathroom.  And I’m neither Gay or Transsexual.

What I’d like to do with the post is give Transsexuals some insight into the everyday common heterosexual mind.

First off, let me say that from my point of view, the Transsexual Community is trying to move faster than society’s notion of what is right or wrong.  We are only now beginning to accept Gays as equals and normals into our work places, Churches, and homes.  And just when we are coming to grips with the idea that, yes, people can be born Gay, you’re asking us to take another detour off normal.

And for most of us, that detour is really hard to take.  Mostly because ninety percent of us ‘normals’ don’t like what we see in the mirror when we look at ourselves.

Just ask the fat girl who looks in the mirror and wants to see a thin girl.  And don’t you think for a second that she doesn’t look into that mirror and feels with her whole soul that she was born to be THIN!.  Should she call herself a Transskinny and walk around in clothes to small for her?

And what about people born Black but feel that they are a White person in a Black person’s body. Should they call themselves Transracial.  And don’t say it doesn’t happen.  Just a year or so ago, we as a nation were all upset and talking about the White woman who said she felt she was a Black person born in a White person’s body and went so far as to become the president of the Spokane, Washington Chapter of the NAACP.  And we were ALL commenting on how ridiculous that sounded.

                                                      Rachel Dolezal

Now, as far as The Bathroom Bill goes, the first image that popped into my head was that of a big tall hairy guy in a dress.  I was not thinking pervert or child rapist or anything like that.  But the image of a man in a dress was the first thing that came to my mind.  And I’m sure it’s the same for most Americans.

What I’m trying to say here is that I don’t think that you’ve done enough PR work to get most of the country on your side.

And from one Transracial (I identify as an upper class very wealthy white woman) Transskinny (a sleek size 8) who has learned to love her body (Black and a size 24) the way it is, good luck to you on your journey to the bathroom.

Until then, most of the country would appreciate it if you’d use the bathroom for the gender you physically are until after you’ve completed your gender reassignment surgery.  And for God’s sake get a better spokesperson than Caitlin Jenner.
