I am going to take a rare exception to something I heard on The View yesterday.
One of the women said something to the effect that, “The #MeToo Movement was not giving those men accused a chance to change’. I take exception to that because most people don’t change things that are working for them. And that goes double and even triple for sexual predators.
And that predatory behavior was working for Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, and Dr. Nasser. . Their predatory behavior was working so well for them that they took it to their offices, homes, and medical practices. And it is still working for the family stalking me!
I’d like for the young woman who said that to stop for a moment and think about what her daughter would have faced, in the future, if we, the women of the #MeToo Movement had not spoken up.
She, herself is in journalism and imagine what would have happened to her daughter if her daughter had applied for an apprenticeship at FOX, NBC, or CBS and that culture of sexual harassment had not been stopped.
P.S. My stalkers are lesbians and that has not made me homophobic.
I was all set to give Kevin Hart the benefit of the doubt, thinking it was something he did to get noticed, until I read them. I was shocked. But, by calling him out, I’m willing to bet he wouldn’t be doing any more tweets like those.
