My Memory Of Christmas

This year, I decided to spend my Christmas the way I spend my life.  Alone.

At 66 years old, soon to be 67, I decided it was high time I spent Christmas the way I wanted and remembered.

I remember our Christmas tree never went up before Christmas Eve.  And we were always at home, as a family.  Never running from house to house, showing off what we had or what we expected to get the next day.

When I got home from school – No.  We didn’t have two weeks off for Christmas – the living room of our house had been transformed.  The tree was up and had all these most amazing ornaments, that I haven’t been able to find, until recently.

And later in the evening, my mother would be in the kitchen, finishing off the deserts, especially her unbelievably, made from scratch ,fudge,  What intrigued me the most by this, was that she was happy.  She was smiling the whole time she was working.  She’d shoo me out of the kitchen and she’d just go at it while I sat in the front room, ogling her water filled Christmas Ornaments.

I loved Christmas, even though the most we ever go,t, except for one notable Christmas, that my mother wasn’t happy about, was one toy and a bag filled with mixed nuts, an orange, and an apple.

I have missed those quiet little Christmases, when it was about Jesus and our Salvation, and not about the sixty inch television or the haul of presents.

No One Is Above The Law

I just heard Danny K Davis, on ABC Channel 7’s 4 o’clock News, say that no one is above the law. 

I know that he was essentially talking about President Trump withholding funds from the Ukraine in order to get dirt on Joe Biden, but what about the three families stalking me and screaming obscenities, day and night, in the streets of Maywood; particularly 11th Avenue, where I live.

Aren’t they being above the law when they take away my privacy because they don’t think I have the right to prosper from my own hard work?

When is the Law going to do something about them?

Everybody thinks it’s about me.  But it’s not.  It’s about them being able to do whatever they want and not suffer any consequences.  And, they’re enjoying being able to do that.  Which is why, they won’t stop on their own.

Now, if I were a Policewoman, I would arrest them stalking, harassment, inter-state predatory stalking, destruction of private property, breaking and entering, burglary, indecent exposure, and disorderly conduct.

But, I’m not a Policeman or Policewoman and I can’t arrest anyone.  And the Maywood Police has refused to arrest them for decades, in spite of my complaints.

And my case, is a case in point for what happens when you allow people to belive they are above the Law.  They will act as though they are above the Law and will keep on doing so over and over and over,  Just as the families stalking me have.

Hey, Congressman Davis, how about putting that no one is above the Law to work out here in Maywood, Illinois.

I guess mind reading stalkers are an exception!    There you go Trump, claim you’re a mind reader.
